HRH Watercolour Logo
The branded logo of the Dartmoor Farmers Association is from a watercolour painted by HRH the Prince of Wales. The moorland scene shows an ancient bridge crossing the Wallabrook stream just before it joins the North River Teign. This type of bridge is known as a "clapper" which comes from the Old English / Celtic word " cleac" which means a stepping stone. Although a small / medium example this bridge is synonymous with the moorland environment within which our cattle and sheep are reared. The Dartmoor Farmers Association is an initiative inspired and supported by Prince Charles and his active participation in providing this painting is greatly appreciated.
